Recent Updates

  • Vaccine clinics and vaccination cards. Vaccine clinic information updated weekly. Available for age 5+ through adults.
  • 4-1-22  IDPH recommends additional COVID-19 booster with an mRNA vaccine for immunocompromised or over age 50, 4 months after 1st booster dose.
  • 3-31-22 New launch of one-stop national website COVID.gov for vaccines, tests, masks, and latest COVID-19 information, including by state and county.
  • 3-28-22 State of Illinois closes Peoria Civic Center COVID-19  testing and vaccination site  as of  March 31, 2022. See our Covid-19 Vaccine Clinics page for local clinic information.
  • 2-28-22 Mask mandate lifted in Illinois for schools unless school districts have their own mandate in place. Daycares should follow DCFS guidance and understand that there may need to be additional safety precautions for the many younger individuals who are not yet eligible for vaccination.
  • 2-28-22 Mask mandate in Illinois for most public places lifted, unless otherwise posted by business or facility. Continue to follow public health guidance: get vaccinated; stay home if ill, get tested if ill, wear mask in public for 5 days after getting better; understand that some individuals may still mask in public for medical conditions or for their own comfort level.
  • 1-31-22 Distribution of free N95 masks has started at many local pharmacies and stores, including Hy-Vee, Walgreens, CVS, Wal-Mart, and Kroger. No advance orders, just pick up the masks in stores. Check at your local store for participation and availability of masks. 
  • 1-27-22 New Quarantine/Isolation Guidance CDC for exposed, sick, and fully vaccinated individuals.
  • 1-19-22 Community test sites and ordering free at home test kits from the federal government
  • 1-7-22 Call 312-777-1999 for Contact Tracing Guidance.
